We’re getting a new puppy tomorrow!!
So Excited – she is a 10 week (or 12?? Lady Boomboom will know) – sharpie/bitzer, and completely adorable, very friendly and inquisitive and playful (much like me… sometimes!)
Boomboom has chosen (it’s her turn and I am completely with her on this) to call her… Maisie.
Maisie is a Scottish name – it’s the pet form of Mairead which is the Scottish-Gaelic equivalent to Margaret (in Irish-Gaelic Margaret is rendered as Mairéad). … The French used Marguerite (from the Latin Margarita); the names are ultimately derived from the Hebrew word “margaron” meaning “pearl”.
I hope my late Nana will approve of the Scottish connection, bless her little cotton socks.
Anyway – we’re excited. You can expect a tsunami of puppy spam. I shall remain unrepentant.
